Tennis7’s Events to return after lockdown restrictions were lifted.

Tennis7’s had the opportunity to host a Table Tennis Tournament after Covid-19 Lockdown restrictions were eased on Monday 26 July. This was Tennis7’s 3rd Table Tennis tournament at Wierda Park Tennis Club in Centurion.
There was a total of 8 players who participated in Saturday’s event. All participants competed against one another and the top 4 players with the most points qualified for the knockout rounds. The four players who qualified was Tiaan (76 points), Stephan (75 points), Rohan (69 points) and Luan (67 Points). In the first semi-final, Luan beat Tiaan wih 21 points to 18 points to move onto the finals. In the second semi-final, Stephan beat Rohan with 21 points to 18 points to set up a final with Luan. The finals were a close match as both players battled it out right to the end with Luan Bosch being the ultimate winner with 21 points to 18 points against Stephan Theron.
Congratulations to all the players who participated in this event and a special thanks to Wierda Park Tennis Club for the use of their facilities. Tennis7’s will be looking to host more events including tennis, beach tennis and table tennis in the coming weeks as sport tournaments are allowed to gradually return following the lifting of lockdown regulations throughout South Africa.
